Itea 10+1 – 2023 olive charcoal drawing installation

During this residency the big fires of olive trees two year ago, were my inspiration for my work. I made charcoal of local olive tree branches. Then I conducted workshops whit local inhabitants and they produced blindfolded charcoal drawings, supported by sounds produced by Dimitris Talarougas. They related their drawings with the fires. They’re appr. 30 drawings I used to make the installation, which was on view for on the exhibition of the residency. The residency was organized by Panos Mitspoulos and Nienke Brokke.
